Question:

To serve, what does it mean?

What does it mean to different people? Other than organising events or taking an office.

To serve – according to Victoria

To me, in addition to holding office or stewarding events, service means giving of yourself for the benefit of others. It means doing the task that needs doing, or helping the person who needs help, often without being asked to do so.

To give service is to help build what we all come together to share, whether it’s serving at feast, cleaning up, helping fetch and carry, or anything else that contributes to the enjoyment and memories of others. It can be a real source of joy and satisfaction, to see the results of your work.
