Question:

To serve, what does it mean?

What does it mean to different people? Other than organising events or taking an office.

To serve – according to Garsiyya

Service is the glue that holds the SCA together. To serve is a personal thing and starts from wanting to make our experience better.  Service starts in your local shire or canton, helping out, holding offices, running parts of events or organising all of them.

Service is looking for ways to share the load to make the magic happen and improving everyone’s enjoyment – and helping others to find ways in which they too can be more a part of the magic and share the load, growing the enjoyment for all.
