Question:

To serve, what does it mean?

What does it mean to different people? Other than organising events or taking an office.

To serve – according to Duncan

If you ask five Pelicans what service means, you are likely to get five different answers. However, there would probably be some themes that would be common to all the answers.

Service for me is all about trying to make peoples life more effortless. That could be as simple as emptying a full rubbish bin, washing the dishes or making sure the site is tidy at the end of the event. It doesn’t mean doing all the work myself but making sure it gets done. By helping out with the little things, it means the autocrat can focus on the big picture. I can concentrate on doing what I enjoy and help people at the same time.
